| Description: | Wine Enthusiast. This blend of 90% Negroamaro and 10% Malvasia Nera is bright in red currant and red cherry aromas, with dustings of saw dust and anise. Medium in weight and displaying lively acidity, the palate is racy and streamlined in crisp red-fruit flavors under a layer of vanilla. Wine Spectator. Baked cherry and dried fig flavors are underscored by rich smoke and mocha notes in this medium- to full-bodied red, with sculpted tannins. Balanced, showing a minerally finish. The wine (2015) greets you rom the glass with its deep, transparent, black cherry core surrounded by a medium wide dark salmon pink rim. On the nose the wine offers you a pronounced intensity of fresh black cherry fruit, coffee with a hint of earth (mushrooms). On the palate the with is dry with a medium(-) body, mouth-watering acididity and a medium(+) level of tannin. The flavors are a medium intensity as experienced on the nose with an additional hint of dark bitter-sweet chocolate. The finish is clean with a long(-) length and a medium intensity of flavors similar to the palate.
