| Description: | Producer Notes: "The revival of this long lost Italian liqueur is one of the more anticipated releases in years. In the mid-nineteenth century Italicus was known as the, "drink of kings," and its popularity preceded it. The current version is based on the original 1850s recipe with a core of Italian Bergamot that is complemented with a variety of additional hand selected native Italian botanicals. Italicus is lightly citrusy on the nose with hints of rose and lavender. On the palate, fresh tones of ripe citrus fruits are balanced with a light bitter and floral spice before giving way to a complex and long lasting finish." |
