| Description: | 90 pts Decanter March 2021 Made by Pieter 'Bubbles' Ferreira, president of the Cap Classique Producers' Association, this even blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is the UK's biggest selling Cap Classique and a brilliantly priced introduction to the style (in this or its Rhona label guise for M&S), often on offer around £10. First made in 1991 – and served at Nelson Mandela's inauguration in 1994 – it spends at least 18 months on lees and has 6% to 12% reserve wine in the blend. Inviting green apple freshness, creamy, nutty autolytic notes and a zesty citrus bite throughout. |
