A deep ruby color Saint Andre De Corbin Saint André Corbin is above all a remarkable geographical and historical site. The current building, built in 1840, took place on the remains of one of the largest Gallo-Roman villas of the 1st century. The latter restored in the 4th century Ad was most probably the residence of Consul Ausonius. Already at that time, its location at the top of a valley facing south and cooled by the winds, had enabled the Romans to produce good wines. Inherited from our uncle Monsieur Carré in 2002, his vineyard is on the borders of several appellations. Indeed, the southern slopes constitute the largest area in the heart of the Saint Georges Saint Emilion appellation (19 producers, 180ha) and offer explosive and powerful wines. To the north, we find our Château Bertin vines in Montagne Saint Emilion which offer an elegant and balanced wine. To the north-east, a short distance away, they cultivate a one-hectare enclosure in Lussac, also under the name of Château Bertin, which produces a full-bodied wine. And finally, to the west in the plain of Pomerol, Lucaniacus is born, on their plot of Lalande de Pomerol.
