| Description: | Wine Advocate 91. "Cherry cola, licorice and a touch of balsam herb define the bouquet of the 2017 Barolo Simposio. Like the other wines from Bel Colle, the aromatic intensity here is mild and elegant, but the "Symposium" delivers its keynote speech on the palate, where it shows a very fine, lean and silky texture. The tannins are well on their way to integration and softness. James Suckling 91. "Red cherries and raspberries on the nose with some fresh herbs, followed through to a just over medium bodied palate with fine, firm tannins, and a rather dry finish. Nice, fresh fruit, but not showing much length now. Should expand in two or three years in bottle. |
