| Description: | 95 Ws / 92-95 JM. This white starts out rich, with an incisive attack, displaying flavors of white flowers, white peach, lemon and mineral. Builds to a long aftertaste, gaining precision from beginning to end. Drink now through 2030. - B.s., Wine Spectator. A clear paler lemon yellow. This is a very pure, even quite low key Les Clos but it is fine nonetheless, though not singing as much as the Blanchots before it, and doubtless the Reserve de l'Obédience which comes next. Softer flesh across the palate, with weight and concentration. A very long finish, though, so this may just be going through a quiet phase. Tasted: July 2021-Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy |
