| Description: | Description: This wine has been made every year since 1989 from Chateau Latour estate property. The wine is made primarily from young vines, growing on the estate, definitely not quite as prestigious as their Flagship, Chateau Latour (1st Growth, Grand Cru) or their second label, Forts de Latour. However, you can bet you get your monies worth with this 3rd label and final wine from the house of Latour. This is an excellent introduction to the wines of Chateau Latour. It can be enjoyed after four to five years of ageing, and will continue to improve for several more years. Pauillac de Latour is easy to recommend. Clear notes of blackberry bud and liquorice root - both flavours given a qualifier to show not only spice and concentration but also good levels of acidity, freshness and sinew. The tannins are prevalent during the intial release and will continue to dispate as the wine ages and/or decants. This is a lovely moment to begin drinking this amazing wine from one of the most iconic Chateau's of Bordeaux. |
