| Description: | Vernaccia di San Gimignano is essentially Chianti's most recognized white wine with DOCG status being awarded in 1993 and DOC decades earlier. The sandstone-based vineyards produce a wine that is layered with multiple forms of acidity and the producer's choice of 50/50 concrete and stainless only enhances these layers. Flavors and aromas of white flowers, grapefruit, nectarine, Meyer lemon and Asian pear are framed by additional body from a few months of lees aging. |
