| Description: | Nottingham Cellars was launched in 2009 by the Cranor Family with the mission of producing world-class, site-driven wines from select local vineyards on the Central Coast. Over the years, the winery explored many regions, producing small lots from various sites and refining their "house style." After a decade in Livermore, CA, Nottingham Cellars relocated their winemaking headquarters to Napa to be closer to their growing partners and to explore Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Today, the winery's flagship wine is "The Pivot," an Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. The exploratory nature of Nottingham Cellars continues, with winemaker Collin Cranor constantly seeking new vineyards and creating a program of evolving sites and wines. This program allows the team to experiment with different sites, fermentation and aging strategies, trial new barrels, and develop new winemaking techniques. While they have an affinity for old vines, historic sites, and well-known growers, their primary criterion is whether the wines reflect their varietal and wine-growing origins. This approach results in a dynamic portfolio of exciting wines produced each vintage. |
