| Description: | The 2009 Pinot Grigio is a bit unusual as it plays off decidedly more mineral-driven tones than the perfumed, fruit-forward wines that are typical of this grape. This also lacks the plumpness that is found in so many 2009 whites. Still, I find the wine's focus, verve and length compelling. Anticipated maturity: 2010–2012. These are the finest wines I have tasted from proprietor Marco Fantinel. |
