| Description: | Wine maker notes This is an Aglianico 100% wine as well, from young vine s and selected grapes for a easy-to-drink wine, for this main grape variety of South Italy. Aged in stainless steel tanks only. Producer ”Tenuta i Gelsi” was founded in 2003 by Pasquale Bafunno and Ruggiero Potito, willing to enhance their families'viticulture in one of the most beautiful place of Basilicata, for its landscape and nature. This place is in Rionero del Vulture, in the area named Monticchio Bagni, close to the famed volcanic lakes and springs of one of the most well known Italian mineral waters. This is the side of Vulture mountain facing over Irpinia, at about 400meters a.s.l., between the upland of Calitri, in the province of Avellino, and the valley of Ofanto river, where ashes and volcanic rocks are mixed with layers of chalks and clays. |
