| Description: | Introduced in 2013, Casamigos was the brainchild of neighbors George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman who, after discovering a mutual passion for tequila, decided to make their own. Commissioning a distillery in Jalisco to make their tequila under the instructions that it "tasted great and didn't burn going down," the trio initially reserved the tequilas for themselves as well as family and friends but as their orders continued to increase, the distillery's owner prompted them to acquire a commercial license laying the foundations of what would eventually become a billion-dollar brand of tequila. |
