Mountaineers from families that have cultivated the pines for generations ascend the rock and climb the trees to get the sought-after fruit. Since 1797 Zirbenz has carried out this annual pilgrimage to harvest an make this liqueur with distinctive pine floral aroma and flavor and a pleasing reddish hue.
