Description: | It's time to rediscover two classics from the doyen of Chilean wine. We have specially selected these two wines to pay homage to Concha y Toro's founders, Don Melchor and his wife Doña Emiliana Subercaseaux, who brought the original Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Semillon cuttings from Bordeaux. With these cuttings, they established the family's vineyards and winery in Chile's Central Valley in 1883. These visionaries saw the potential of this land where the sun shines about 300 days a year; gentle ocean breezes, sheltering Andes mountains, perfectly balanced soil and clean mountain rivers create an ideal microclimate for producing world-class wines. Frontera is one of their best-selling wines, crafted in an easy-drinking style for everyday enjoyment. Their Cabernet/Merlot blend combines two classic Bordeaux grape varieties. This 85/15 blend is traditionally fermented and goes well with hearty food, perfect for fall dining |
