Description: | "How poor are they that have not patience! What wound did ever heal but by degrees?". William Shakespeare wrote those words, and they certainly apply to Urraca's Familia Langley Reserva from the 2007 growing season in Argentina's Mendoza region. The wine is a blend of Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, and in a word, it's big. Full bodied and massively extracted, this is a wine that will benefit from several years of additional aging; it is a wine that will reward patience. But the good news is that there's a way you can enjoy it much sooner — even with tonight's meal: decanting. Another (simpler) way would be to open the wine, pour it into a pitcher and simply let it sit overnight. Then you won't have to wait to savor the Familia Langley Reserva's floral bouquet, lush cherry and berry flavors, and chocolate-kissed finish. The choice is yours: How patient are you? |
