Rayun Syrah

Syrah from South America > Chile > Central Valley > Rapel Valley

Vintage: 2009
Description: This wine is made out of grapes of vineyards in Totihue, on the foothills of the Andes mountains and Nancagua, on the west coast range of mountains from Rapel valley. The grapes were picked in April 2008 at their peak of maturity. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks over a period of 7 days converting sugar to alcohol and extract polyphenols (tannins and coloring matter), which provide the excellent characteristics of Syrah as well as the great varietal expressions of red fruit, plums and blueberries. Once fermentation was complete, the Syrah remains in inert stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit characteristics, contributing pleasing and delicate notes of vanilla, tobacco, and honey.
