| Description: | Remarkable wine. A seeming blend of Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo. This is a textbook version of the grape Freisa that has the aromatic complexities of great Burgundy. 92 points, Bob Sprentall, B-21 Proprietor (Aug 2013). The 2009 Langhe Freisa Kye is beautiful in this vintage, even if it doesn't have the visceral thrill of some previous years. The heat seems to have baked out much of the varietal character, resulting in a wine that is silky, racy and polished, but maybe too much so for its own good.
