The fruit is slightly briary with the expected herbal blackberry and plum. Some savory notes such as smoked meats and forest floor make an appearance to confirm that it is a Gigondas. 75% Grenache, 15% Mouvèdre and 10 % Syrah give this all of the rich chewy fruit that one could ask for. Try to find a quality Châteauneuf-du-Pape at this price. |
