| Description: | The "Botonero" is a soft, fruit forward example (it's a pure, succulent cherry), with just a hint of the 'tar and roses' of classic Nebbiolo, and a very long finish. Clear ruby in appearance and medium in body. This is essentially declassified Valtellina, which is the breathtaking viticultural area located up on the border with Switzerland. Nebbiolo, here called Chiavannasca, makes elegant, structured wines from vines grown on hillsides terraced by the Ligurians, contemporaries of the Etruscans. |
