The native grape, and brother of Sangiovese, Niellucciu, is the predominate grape. Dark plum, salty earth, licorice and bay leaf are the soul of the wine while riper fruits of blackberry, black cherry and blueberry give the wine a youthful freshness contrasting the tannic finish. |
