| Description: | 94 JS / 94 Vm / 94 Ws. Pretty berry aromas and flavors with orange peel and flowers with hints of salted caramel. Medium to full body. Firm and polished tannins. Lovely balance of fruit at the end. Racy. Drink after 2026.-James Suckling. The 2019 Barolo Perno is a fine example of this site. It offers up crushed flowers, mint, cinnamon, licorice, dried herbs, menthol and dark-fleshed fruit, conveying intensity but also a feeling of weightless power that is quite a contrast to the more overt richness found in the Serralunga Barolos that form the core of this lineup.-Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media.
