| Description: | Maison Kuentz-Bas was first established in 1795 in the town of Husseren-les-Châteaux. The grapes are grown in clay and limestone on 1.2 hectares. Its hard to imagine from the light color of this wine that the grapes were fermented in foudre for 2-3 weeks, but the result is a refreshing Pinot Noir. There are lots of savory notes along with sweet hints of cranberry and stewed cherries, while the tannins fade quietly into the finish. |
