| Description: | Lessona is a tiny northern Piedmont wine region, where, no surprise, Nebbiolo is king. This is 95% Nebbiolo, 5% Vespolina grown in sand/clay/silt soil. Tank ferment, neutral oak aged. This wine is, well, "very Nebbiolo" as the color is light, fruits are wild red, acid is med-high and the tannins grab the palate. Get wild strawberry, cinnamon, cedar, licorice tobacco, beef jerky. Pair as you would a strong Pinot. Best to choose a meat with a good amount of fat (duck confit!) |
