The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras is similarly compelling, soaring from the glass with aromas of red berries, exotic spices, orange rind, musk and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and tightly wound, with a deep and vibrant core of fruit that's framed by fine, powdery tannins, it concludes with a long, penetrating and intensely mineral finish. Tasting note: Here too there is a note of poached plum to the to the spicy and quite floral-suffused aromas. In the same fashion as the best wines in the fashion, there is impressive volume to the dense and tautly muscular large-scaled flavors that brim with minerality on the austere and very tightly wound finale.
