| Description: | A blend of the two classic Etna grapes Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio from terraced vineyards on the northeastern side of the volcano. The color has a lightness reminiscent of burgundy, but volcanic aromas are a giveaway that this is island fruit. Aromas are led by sloe berries, spices, orange zest, dried roses and minerals. More red fruits provide rounded acidity with ripe tannins from the 2020 vintage. Highly structured without the powerful tannins. |
