Kunza Mendoza, Argentina Malbec

100% Malbec

Vintage: 2014
Description: Take a look at a map of South America. Argentina takes up a big chunk of land in the southern part of the continent, and running the entirety of its western border is the country of Chile. Primarily south of the Tropic of Capricorn, both countries are home to miles and miles of vineyards. Given the geography, it makes perfect sense for a winery to make wines in both countries — and that's exactly what Kunza is doing with the introduction of its Argentine Malbec from the 2014 Southern Hemisphere harvest. Kunza is a Chilean word for "our." It was included in a dialect used by the indigenous inhabitants of the Actacama desert, long thought of as a mystic area in the northern region of Chile. "Our passion is to share ‘our' wine with you," a Kunza spokesperson tells us, and that passion now includes wonderful wines from Argentina as well as Chile.
